SPIRITUAL CARE & CONNECTION
The Spiritual Care & Connection program exists to serve as an additional means of support for those we serve. This support is provided by GUM staff and volunteer Chaplain Assistants.
Staff and trained Chaplain Assistants are women and men who care about the well-being of our guests at GUM. Many of our guests who request help are in the middle of a life crisis, and it can be a lonely and scary journey. This team provides a listening ear, confidential support, guidance, encouragement, and prayer. Volunteers are recruited and trained throughout the year to serve in this area.
Are you a compassionate person? Are you willing to go through on-site training before you serve as a Chaplain Assistant? If you answered YES, then this may be the right volunteer role for you! Stay tuned for the next orientation! (currently, there are no training classes scheduled at this time. We will post updates to the schedule soon.)
