Volunteers are essential to the outreach and mission of Greensboro Urban Ministry.

Volunteers help in the following ways:

• Prepare and serve meals to the hungry
.
• Help manage shelters for single adults and families
.
• Lend assistance in the clothing bank
.
• Interview clients applying for emergency assistance
.
• Receive, sort, and distribute food donations
.
• Mentor and support people in crisis situations
.
• Offer group meals, children's activities and tutoring
.
